The selection of the different materials which compose the umbrella is optimal. Noble wood like maple, chestnut, rush, hornbeam, are  worked on and their finishes are hand-made. Fine fabrics are chosen. The metals have the best surface coatings. All components are also carefully controlled and tested.

Quality control
At every step of the umbrella's manufacture, our own compulsory process of systematic auto-control has been put into place.
The rolled up and overcast seams are then tear-proof tested.
According to their model, the ribs are tested against 3 to 7 DaN.
Threads, glues, and metals undergo strict tests.
The Véritable Cherbourg is an homogenous product, guaranteed for one year against any manufacture defect.
The after sales service is provided for every model, and done in Cherbourg.
